Panic Room - ADCN
For our third and final instalment of the PANIC ROOM this year, we’ve partnered up with ADCN to host yet another of our legendary inspiration evenings. And in the spirit of ADCN’s chosen theme, ‘Unity’, we thought there would be no better way to present this than bringing together Amsterdam’s creative community for a night to celebrate all that unites us as creatives.
Invested in the vision that a more creative Netherlands contributes to the progression of people and society, ADCN work to connect creative professionals and teams across the various disciplines of commercial communications. Chosen by this years inaugural ADCN President, Edson Sabajo, Co-founder of Patta, ADCN’s theme of ‘Unity’ will look to revitalise the ingenuity of Dutch creativity by promoting a type of collaboration that finds strength in between our differences.
Koshta is a collective of creators, media artists, art-directors, and producers with an emphasis on creative work that challenges the limits of conventional reality. Unrestricted by genre, their work is focused on the creation of unique content and extends across photography, music video, visual content, and meta-verse design. Led by the concepts of fantasy worlds, irreality, and expansive imagination, Koshta have produced for a wide range of global musicians such as Zemfira, Kasseta, and Tabber, as well as for commercial brands including Nike, S7 Airlines, and Hypebeast. Their work has been acclaimed at international festivals including the Los Angeles Cinematography Awards, the Berlin Music Video Awards, and Unknown Festival to name a few.
As the Co-Founder of streetwear label Patta, Guillaume “Gee” Schmidt is fundamental in the creative development and culture surrounding the iconic Dutch brand. A vision that started out sixteen years ago in Amsterdam, Patta is now a cult favourite label and one of the few internationally revered black-owned streetwear brands, with hubs across Amsterdam, London and Milan. As well as their clothing line, Gee and partner Edson Sabajo also have developed projects such as Patta Soundsystem, Patta Running Team, and the Patta Foundation with a focus on youth cultural education. In a rare speaking appearance, Gee will be sharing the influences which shaped his early creative curiosity via special Q&A with host, and friend, Jason Fulton (This Memento).
Adam Smith is a British commercial, television drama, documentary, music video, and feature film director. We’re very pleased to welcome him back to the Panic Room once again. Since 1994, Adam has worked extensively with The Chemical Brothers, directing music videos and their acclaimed live shows. His long standing relationship with Mike Skinner/The Streets generated the much lauded ‘Blinded By The Lights’ music video and he’s applied his directorial style into commercial legends such as Nike’s ‘My Time Is Now’ with Wayne Rooney and Adidas's ‘Never Follow’. Alongside his music work, he has gained fans worldwide with his TV drama work including SKINS, Doctor Who, the emmy-award winning Little Dorrit and most recently BBC1’s ‘World At War’.

Sharing is Caring
We curate and host the legendary PANIC ROOM.It began in 2009 bringing the Amsterdam creative crowd together. It’s not about the sell and you can’t buy your way in. It’s about sharing positivity to make us better. We invite some of the best directors, photographers, artists, musicians and random creative folk we admire from around the globe to come and share what’s making them tick at the moment. You could call it a love-in so maybe this is our hippy moment. But we need more love in this world. The PANIC ROOM is a bi-annual event here in Amsterdam with international editions including Mexico City and Prague.
